High-profile camera and photographic-equipment retailer Jessops wanted a new
focus on younger customers. That's why they decided on a 'funkier' look for
their latest store, in Birmingham's all-new Bullring complex.
The company used highly visible light boxes outside the entrance to attract
passers-by. Inside the 800-square-foot store, futuristic touches include purple
and stainless steel, and interactive workstations.
The impact of recessed polarised lighting is enhanced with colourful carpet
tiles and contemporary laminate flooring by The Amtico Company that come
together in a striking 'egg-timer' shape.
Jessops chose Amtico's shimmering Chameleon Treadplate, which appears to
change colour when viewed from different angles.
Jessops' Senior Project Manager, [manager’s name], said: "We'd used Amtico
before, and when you're looking for design ideas to create something
different, Amtico is the company to go with. The shimmering metallic look of
Chameleon Treadplate provided a perfect link with the other futuristic
design elements we used to create this scheme."
