At Chilli Lime, we have the same admiration for ready-made website-design templates that mice have for the Cats’ Protection League. How low is our opinion of the web-design agencies that pass them off as original work? Think ‘chihuahua’. That’s low.
Instead, we like to get back to basics. Your website is your shop. And you wouldn’t put your dirty underwear in your shop window, would you? You would? Perhaps it’s time for a career rethink.
Getting back to basics means establishing where you are now, where you want to get to and what kind of website you need. It means looking down the back of the sofa of your business, to find out what you’re really about. (And maybe finding a 10p or two, and some old bubblegum.)
Once we’ve done all that, we’ll let our web designer loose to create a website as unique as you are. Relax - he’s got ten years’ experience working with some of the UK’s top design agencies on brands like Tesco and MTV. Likewise, our programmer can offer you ten years’ experience of creating applications for most UK business sectors.
Speaking of our programmer, he’s a Microsoft-certified systems engineer who likes to keep ahead of technology. Despite this, he has a recognisably human form and showers regularly.
This slightly geeky (yet human) focus means we specialise in the latest Microsoft.Net platform for functionality, speed and reliability. It means your site will be hosted on the latest Microsoft servers in the prestigious Telecity Datacentre in Manchester. And it means your data-driven website will use the Microsoft SQL server 2005. Which is a bit good. Honest.
Bearing all this in mind, you’d expect us to charge a penny or two for our web design and development services. But we don’t. Cos we’re in Lancashire. Which is rich only in muddy hills, black pudding and crumbly cheese.
